In todays cable world texting has become an integral part of staying in touch with your fellow techs, your ops center, dispatchers, supervisor and just about every other office.

Although texting is instrumental in getting quick messages across and most imporantly avoiding long hold times, is never something to be done while driving.  That attached image is whats left of a Southern Illinois Mediacom techs truck after he lost control while attempting to multitask en-route.

Let this be a sobering reminder to all of us who are guilty at one time or another of trying to save a precious two minutes while driving.
