Before our minds wander too far as to what it is  - Here ya go-

Its used to flare out the jacket from the core of the cable to allow a better fitting insertion. ( pretty descriptive name eh?!) Some reports claim it damages the dialectric and will not work with Quad. The product description states it is excellent for RG59,RG6 and RG11. However Im not sure how it will work on RG11. The whole, watermelonKeyhole syndrom...

Its use is better suited for Underground, Aerial and Inhouse RG6 cable. And even more handy in the winter months when the jacket is frozen stiff or the flooding compound makes a fitting almost impossible to insert.
The opposite end is a threaded rod used to screw your fitting onto and then slide the fitting on the cable with more of a substantial grip.
INDEX FINGERS! YOUR SAVED!!!
